Reflection:

I have drawn a grey lead pencil portrait drawing of a young girl. This was by far the most difficult piece that I created and the one that took the most time, mostly because of the fact that it was a portrait and drawing portraits is my weakness. None of my other drawings show a "face" so this was out of my comfort zone but I was willing to give it a try. To be honest, once I had finish this drawing I didn't really like it, it didn't look like the drawing from the YouTube clip but there were aspects of the drawing that I am proud of. My favourite aspect about this piece is the individual elements of her face like her lips, eyes and eyebrows. To me they looked the most realistic. I will definitely try to draw some more portraits and to improve on drawing people's faces, but overall I am proud of this piece and proud of myself for giving portraits a go even though I knew that it wasn't my strongest skill.
