Reflection:

This is an acrylic painting that captures a galaxy and a girl holding an umbrella. This is one of my favourite artworks because of the extent in detail and because of the colours. Not a lot of planning went into this artwork but I knew that I wanted to explore using acrylic paints and to draw a night sky. I found this artwork quite easy and fun. To create the final look of the starry sky I used the technique of "paint brush flicking". Although this technique was a bit messy, it was really fun and rewarding as it turned out beautifully and made the stars look realistic. I like all the different elements like the girl, trees and moon as they all complement each other and add to the aesthetic of the painting. I would love to do more acrylic paintings in the future but overall I am really proud of this one as it came out just how I wanted it to.
